To all Bands,

This week, recording has begun with the first band, "Wild Hogs." I was told that it took some time to set up the sound but at the end of the day, things started to run smoothly. But it would take several days to record one song.

As such, the Producer, Roslan Aziz, has requested that all bands book their recording sessions urgently in order to complete it as soon as possible for mixing & eventually producing the "Songs from Dorms" album for the launch on 4th December 2011.

Dengan sukacitanya dimaklumkan kepada semua X-Kulim bahawa Cikgu Azman menjemput kita semua ke Majlis Walimatulurus anakanda beliau yang telah dijadualkan seperti berikut, dengan izin Allah swt.

The first time I heard this song was in late evening early 1980’s on a cheap radio sitting at a table in an open air car park opposite the Butterworth train station. I was 16 and helping out my relative who owns the car park business writing parking tickets when I heard the song on the RAAF radio channel (run by the Royal Australian Air Force). It was an amazing sound to be heard over the radio as local radio stations do not play rock songs back then.

I always thought that the lyrics may mean something some day. It’s about following your heart and doing something right and meaningful. The day came recently when I heard the song again in the comfort of my music room coming through my 25-year old Heybrook speakers.

This pantun was written as a tribute to everyone that has helped make Asrama Donni a reality, and to the students of Kiulu with the hope that this will serve as an aspiration for them to strive for greater success.

Pelajar SMK Tun Fuad Stephens tak perlu lagi ulang alik 5 jam ke sekolah

KIULU: Kira-kira tiga tahun Alexander Jerry terpaksa berulang alik dari rumahnya di Kampung Gonipis Lama di pedalaman daerah ini ke Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Tun Fuad Stephens di sini.

Bagaimanapun, masalah keluarga Alexander berakhir bulan lalu apabila dia mendapat kemudahan untuk tinggal di asrama sekolah.

Depicting the journey that we have travelled since the days at the maktab and recently in raising funds for Asrama Donni. Enjoy! .

To members of the Killerbatch (’79-’83) of Ansara Kulim,

Congratulations to members of the Killerbatch of Ansara Kulim for having very successfully staged the ‘Ghazal Party Queen’ (GPQ) at the Taman Budaya, Kuala Lumpur , on the 5th, 6th ,7th and 8th February 2010.

The Ghazal Party Queen is definitely one of the most enjoyable Malay theatre that I have been to.
